2.2 Lot Numbering

Addressing System
Legal Lot Structure (after the 2005 Act)
The Act created a new plan of subdivision and a new Lake Bennett units plan for created section 1252 (Hundred of Howard). On registration:
- Units Plan 97/026 was cancelled and replaced by the Lake Bennett units plan.
- Each former existing unit (other than unit 108) became a new unit lot.
- A separate lot was created for the development area (formerly associated with unit 108).
- Common property was created for the units plan.
- Created sections 1253 (resort), 1254 and 1255 (lake/foreshore) sit outside the condominium units plan but within the Lake Bennett locality planning controls.
Adjoining rural sections (e.g. 90–97, 99–110) remain individual sections under Schedule 5 land-use controls.

- Display unit / house numbers clearly from the access driveway for emergency services.
- Do not rely on historical Units Plan 97/026 numbering alone for legal dealings — use the current Lake Bennett units plan / title.

- Locality postcode: 0822.
- Community Postal Agency / nearby postal services have been listed against Chinner Road addresses (verify current hours with Australia Post). Batchelor General Store also operates as a post office (see 1.4).
